The Talent Connection USA, Inc. is a Talent Management and Referral Service dedicated in promoting “You” the talent and NOT the Web Site. Our one goal in mind is to help talent, professional or new, to be seen and obtain work suitable for their career. Regardless of age, race or lifestyle, The Talent Connection USA, Inc strives to assist in all areas.
How is TTC different from all other Talent Agencies and Agencies who try to get you to purchase their “on-line” portfolios?First of all TTC is NOT a Talent Agency. We are a Talent Management and Referral Service. If talent is currently professional and has performed on a regular basis, we will then offer them our assistance in managing their career based on years of experience. This encompasses a wide scope of services. This is based on an individual basis. Secondly, TTC is a Referral Service. This is good for you as from time to time agencies will contact us for talent and advice of what work is available. We then contact you directly with the information and “connect” the two of you together.
What fees do I have to pay to join TTC?There is never a fee to have your “on-line” portfolio on our web site. As with any company we will “offer” savings to you in the “Artist’s Package” should you wish to participate, but this is totally optional.
Does it matter where I live?With TTC, you can live anywhere and move continually. With the technology of the internet, it allows you the flexibility. However, we do ask if you have a change in any contact information, please let us know so we can contact you if we get work in your area.
What type of talent does TTC look for?We look for all types of talent. From actors to models, to singers to bands, from crew help to producers and writers, we will list anyone that has that desire. If you are already professional with your career, we have a special category for you to display your talent. If you are new talent and just starting out, we assist you in every area to help your career path.
Why is your “on-line” portfolio service at no cost while others charge from $300 upwards?The owners of TTC are comprised of actors, musicians, writers, computer programmers and sales executives. We understand the need for exposure. In the past few years many companies have embarrassed themselves not to mention the industry as a whole by charging outrageous prices for services and making promises that were false. This is why with the combined efforts of the owners it was decided to assist all talent by providing everyone a place to showcase their talent with no burden to them.
Who will see my “on-line” portfolio?Your portfolio will be seen by as many as view it! What we mean by that is most other services claim that various agencies, scouts, etc search their site daily. We truly hope this is true. However we take the next step. We go to them. Each week our staff emails Talent and Modeling Agencies, Casting Directors and Entertainment Managers to advise them of new talent listed on our site. We are continually adding new contacts, so you can be assured that we do our part to make sure you are seen.
What type of photos do I need to provide?We do ask that you send the best quality as your headshots are the most valuable tool of the trade. If you are professional, we ask that you email or mail us your most current composite card and/or headshot. For those just starting out, we do suggest you try to get professional photos taken. You can use places like “Glamour Shots” or contact several local photographers in your area. Some colleges even offer a commercial photography class and most students would love to take your pictures for their portfolio. Your only cost would be the film and developing.
Can I send digital pictures versus hard copy pictures?Yes you can. Remember to make sure if you are sending digital pictures that are high quality and not blurry. The pixels should be 800 to 1000 and 72 or 150 dpi. Please send them as JPEG (.jpg) files. If you're mailing a hard-copy, we will accept color or black & white photos up to 8”x10”. We request original photographs as they will be returned. We also suggest that you take your hard-copy pictures to Kinko’s or any other place that will scan your pictures locally and place them on a disk. This will save you time.
How long will it take for my portfolio to be online?We normally request 48-72 hours. However with the tremendous response it may take slightly a little longer, so we ask for you to be patient.
What is the “Artist’s Package?”The Artist's Package is another feature we provided to our talent! The package is designed to limit your searches for the best photographers, headshots, composite cards, flights, hotel accommodations and hundreds of other services. We request all of our clients who market their services to be of the highest quality and reputation and offer our talent a discount from 30% - 60%, while others will provide "free" services. There no charge for this service and in most cases you will find some merchants providing an on-line coupon to print out for their savings. Please let them know you are a part of The Talent Connection USA, Inc. when contacting them.
